In this program, you’ll take core courses that cover important topics in the field of education, including classroom management, instructional strategies, and theories of learning. The middle education degree options explore how to teach math, natural sciences, English, or social studies at the middle school level.

You can also learn how to plan and implement a curriculum that meets your students’ needs and allows them to thrive. By understanding the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of middle schoolers, you can provide the leadership and guidance they need to succeed in school and in life.

At the end of this program, you’ll complete a semester of student teaching to gain real-world experience in the field of education.

The various endorsement areas for our MAT programs are all offered in both 36- and 45-credit-hour options. The 45-credit-hour option offers additional flexibility in the form of electives that you can use to complete content competencies if needed.
