FOOTBALL SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

REGULAR ROUTES WILL END AT 2:30PM. FOOTBALL SHUTTLES WILL RUN 2:30PM TO MIDNIGHT. 

75 ROUTE WILL RUN WEEKEND SCHEDULE FROM 2:30PM TO MIDNIGHT. OASIS SHUTTLE WILL RUN FROM OASIS TO FAN FEST AND GATE ONE OF STADIUM FROM 2:30 TO MIDNIGHT. 

AT 2:30PM ODR IS FOR ADA ONLY UNTIL 1:00AM. 

 

To our Liberty University Enrolled Cornerstone Residents,

 We understand that the recent discontinuation of Route 90 may have raised concerns about your transportation options. In response, Liberty University is pleased to introduce an On-Demand Transportation Service for our enrolled Cornerstone student residents.

What You Need to Know:

  • Service Availability: The On-Demand Transportation Service will be available throughout the upcoming school year during operating residential class days. This service will conclude at the end of the school year and will not resume thereafter.

  • How It Works: Cornerstone enrolled students can request transportation service, through our designated app, on the myLU page under “On-Demand Rides.” When selecting a service, please choose “Cornerstone.” This service provides the convenience and flexibility to travel on campus to the ODR stop at Green Hall transfer station and the ODR bus stop at DeMoss Hall.

  • Hours of Operation: The service will operate starting Monday, Aug 19, 2024. Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM at the Cornerstone bus stop on Rotunda Street until the last departure from campus at 9:45 PM. Transportation from Cornerstone to campus will be available every 45 minutes after the hour by on-demand request only. Example 6:45 AM, 7:45 AM, 8:45 AM, 9:45 AM, etc.). Campus to Cornerstone pickups will occur at 30 minutes past the hour by on-demand request only (7:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:30 AM, etc.). Please note that this service is not a regular bus route but an on-demand service, so please plan and schedule accordingly to arrive at your classes on time

  • Enrollment Process: After enrolling in the on-demand program, please email Angela Brown at abrown287@liberty.edu to activate your access. Include your full name, address, LU ID #, and email address in the message.

Bus Routes and On Demand Ride Schedule:

Route 71 and 72:

6:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Saturday.
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Route 75:
6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Route 75 does not include LUCOM, Oasis, or David’s Place on the weekend.

On Demand Ride:
5:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday through Sunday.


Liberty University Breaks and Holidays

Transit will run On-Demand Ride from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm during breaks during the school year.

July 4 & July 5 Transit will be closed.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Transit will be closed:

Thanksgiving 11/28, 11/29

Christmas 12/23, 12/24, 12/25, 12/26, 12/27

New Years 12/31, 1/1, 1/2

 

School Closing Service from Inclement Weather:

There will be no bus service on or off campus during School closings. We will run On Demand Ride once the roads are safe to travel on and will close ODR at 8pm during school closings.

 

On Demand Ride:

Liberty University Students, Faculty, and Staff can reserve a ride using MyLU. Once on the app, click My Access from the left-hand menu and open the All-Navigation dropdown. Scroll down to find “ On Demand Rides.”

*Facilities covered by Liberty Transit bus routes are not part of this service, with the exception of those requiring special ADA services.

 

Lost and Found:

Items found on Transit Services buses are submitted to the Liberty University Police Department after the bus is cleaned. After 2 business days, those items should be logged in at the LUPD office where they will be available for pickup. Lost and found is located in DeMoss at the Card Service Office. If you have lost something within the last two days, please call Liberty Transit Services at (434) 592-3640 or contact the Greater Lynchburg Transit Company at (434) 455-5080.
