Liberty University Conference on Teaching Excellence

2025 Conference on Teaching Excellence: Faith and Flourishing

This year’s theme for the Conference on Teaching Excellence is Faith and Flourishing. This conference for residential and online faculty will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8. The plenary session will be held in the School of Music Performance Hall, 8-10 a.m., while breakout sessions will be conducted virtually, starting at 10:30 a.m. Residential faculty are expected to attend the plenary session in person. Adjunct faculty are invited, but not required to attend in person or via a livestream link which will be posted in the Canvas course.

This conference will feature workshops, roundtables, videos, prayer sessions, academic papers, research posters, and more with over 100 unique events. Faculty will be enrolled in the “2025 Conference on Teaching Excellence” Canvas course by Tuesday, Jan. 7. Links for breakout sessions (held on MS Teams) will be provided in this course.

Here’s how to get the most out of your virtual conference experience:

  • Review the Conference Schedule — A detailed conference program will be available in the “Conference Overview” module of your course. Plan which sessions you would like to attend live and which sessions you want to watch later.
  • Be Active — Engage during live sessions and utilize the interactive features of the Canvas course to connect with peers and speakers.
  • Explore Resources — Review prerecorded materials and other available documents during and after the conference. You’ll have access to the Canvas course all semester, so take advantage of these invaluable resources!
