Enhance Your Commuter Experience with Champ
Get more information about specific events: Sometimes, you see a cool advertisement for an event but are unsure what the event is. Champ’s got you covered! Text “What is” and the event’s name for more details about what you can expect.
Help us help you: Ask general questions about your LU experience as a commuter or graduate student. We’ve partnered with other departments to provide specific answers with your experience in mind. If Champ doesn’t immediately know the answer, we’ll contact the appropriate department regarding your inquiry and update our knowledge base. That way, we can keep Champ updated with information relevant to you and your peers. We’ll also be able to help other departments know what matters most to you.

Using a command will prompt Champ to get you information or support quickly:
#Coordinator to get in touch with your Commuter Coordinator or Graduate Life Assistant directly.
#Events for immediate information about Commuter Life and Graduate Life events.
#Report to report suspicious activity, a crime, or sexual assault.
#Dont to be excluded from all Commuter Life or Graduate Life-initiated SMS messages. If you change your mind, you can always text #Restart to resume receiving updates from Commuter Life or Graduate Life.

How does Champ utilize AI?
While Champ uses natural language processing (AI) to match your texts and questions to the correct understanding, Champ’s responses have been specifically written and approved by a Commuter Life or Graduate Life team member.
Champ’s natural language processing also means that Champ understands when to connect you directly to a Commuter Life of Graduate Life team member for that personal human touch!
We aim to make accessing relevant information easy and connecting with you individually as seamless as possible. Champ is not designed to replace human interaction or to blur the lines between AI and human relationships.
Don’t you want to receive SMS communication from Commuter Life or Graduate Life?
Texting STOP will opt out of all Liberty University non-emergency SMS communications. Of course, you can always reply START to opt back into University SMS communications.
However, we encourage you to use the #Pause or #Dont commands to temporarily stop receiving text messages from Commuter Life or Graduate Life; that way, your global communication settings with the university will not be impacted.
