Kick off Commuter Appreciation Week with a pop-up event packed with festive fun! Drop by the Commuter Lounge for St. Patrick's Day-themed treats, vibrant decorations, and a chance to win small prizes. Luck just might be on your side!
We're bringing the coffee and donuts straight to you! Swing by the Academic Commons Garage on Main Campus or the North Campus Garage for a free morning pick-me-up and a card of appreciation from Commuter Life. A small gesture to brighten your commute!
It's time to relax and refuel before Campus Community! Join us on the Academic Lawn for a tailgate-style evening with delicious walking tacos, nachos, lawn games, and music. Come for snacks, stay for the fun and then head over to Campus Community with your fellow commuters.

The week concludes with the ultimate celebration- our inaugural Commuter Life Gala! Step into an elegant evening at Amazement Square's Genworth Education Center in Downtown Lynchburg. Dress in your finest attire, enjoy live jazz music, walk the red carpet for stunning photo ops, and indulge in a night of hors d'oeuvres and unforgettable moments. Commuter Tailgates
Join us as we celebrate the Liberty Flames with an exciting tailgating experience for commuters. We always have free food, drinks, and sweet treats, along with games, inflatables, and giveaways.

Location & Parking
Commuter Tailgates for football games will be held in the Football East Parking Lot across from the Student Entrance of the Football Stadium.
Commuters can park in general parking and walk over to the tailgate, with premium access to enter the stadium before kick-off.

Rain Plan
At Commuter Life, we try to be a “no cancel” team! In the event of forecasted rain, we’ll update our Instagram and website details with an alternative indoor location for pregame fun. The anticipated location for tailgates during a rain plan is the Commuter Lounge in Green Hall 1875.
Introvert Happy Hour
Sometimes, the best way to recharge is with a warm drink, a good book, and easygoing company. Introvert Happy Hour is our commuter-exclusive event series designed for a slower, cozier kind of connection.
Hosted at one of Lynchburg’s local coffee shops, these experiences create a welcoming space where you can sip coffee or tea, unwind, and engage in light conversation with fellow commuters. Whether you’re here to read, reflect, or share quiet moments with new friends, this is your space to just be.
No stress, no rush—just a relaxed atmosphere where connection happens naturally. Spots fill up fast, so be sure to register for these events in advance!
