Ultrarunning Club
Club Mission Statement
We are in place to push individuals past their previous limits in running. Whether you want to run a 5k or an ultra-marathon we encourage, push and support each member. The purpose of the club “Liberty University Ultrarunning Club” will be to provide an organized, community-based setting for students to train for and race ultra-marathon distance events. The club will emphasize proper fitness techniques and ways to use running as a ministry outreach. The world of endurance sports is growing larger every year and the number of people that can be reached through recreational activities cannot be ignored. The community is our focus, not just within the club, but also our involvement in local events and races. The club will emphasize performing for the glory of God and not for one’s own personal gain or recognition.
What To Expect as a Member
We meet at least one a week for a group run. There are a couple of times a semester where we meet as well to discuss upcoming races and involvements. You will get updates for training runs, training plans and ways to get involved in the race community and the club community.
Club Accomplishments
As a club we have trained for and run countless ultramarathons as well as had involvement in aid stations and all of the LIberty races.
