Who are we?
We are LU student’s first stop for all thing’s wellness. We focus on 9 Dimensions of Wellness for understanding and enhancing your overall holistic wellness, and improved academic experience through co-curricular learning outside the classroom, and life post-graduation.
Are we the same as the Health Center?
Although we work in collaboration with the Student Health Center on campus, we are a different department. The Health Center is a medically based practice that offers medical services on campus. Our department, Student Health Center and Wellness Initiatives, serves as a public health office based on preventative measures of health and wellness.
Preventative health is all about living a healthy lifestyle so that risk factors for disease are lower and quality of life is higher.
Where are we located?
We are located in Commons 3, Floor 1 – across the hall from the Student Health Center.
What do we do?
Yes, we handle COVID-19 policy and procedures and contact tracing for the Liberty University Campus. That isn’t all we do though! Our office has existed long before the pandemic took place. We are the department for Student Health Records, Health Education, and we have lots of fun events and programs for students. Some of the events coming in Fall 2021 are the Health Expo and a Women’s Health Conference. You can find more information on our Wellness Initiatives & Events page.
