Emergency Preparation Training
The Incident Command System (ICS) is a management tool that allows better coordination and use of resources during incidents and planned events. The Incident Command System provides a way for departments, agencies, and resources to effectively manage and respond to events.
The Incident Command System positively impacts incident management efforts by clarifying the chain of command and supervision responsibilities, providing an orderly, systematic planning process, and implementing a common, flexible, pre-designed management structure. Implementing a command system ensures the safety of responders, community members, and others, achievement of incident objectives, and efficient use of resources.
The Emergency Management & Community Engagement Office facilitates incident management training for Liberty University faculty, staff, and command staff. View the available interactive web-based courses offered by FEMA below.
