Liberty University has recently been made aware of incidents involving stalking and fondling on campus by a male student. The male student has been seen in multiple locations on campus, approaching and following several individuals in a manner that caused them to fear for their safety. It was also reported that the male student inappropriately touched another student without consent. The Liberty University Police Department (LUPD) has issued an arrest in connection with this matter, and the incidents are currently under active investigation.
If you are in immediate danger, call Liberty University Police Department at 434-592-3911 or call 911.
To prevent stalking, we must cultivate healthy relationship behaviors including trust, respect, communication, and consent. This means respecting others boundaries and changing our behavior where they indicate that contact or communication is unwelcome or uncomfortable. For more information about stalking please see Liberty University’s Sexual Misconduct Policy at: https://www.liberty.edu/…/Liberty-University-Sexual…
If you or someone you know is experiencing stalking, there are confidential and non-confidential resources available to you both on and off campus.
