Clery Crime: Burglary

Under the Clery Act, Liberty University issues Timely Warning messages regarding Clery Act crimes which pose a serious and continuing threat to the campus community.

On 3-07-2023 and 03-31-2023, there were incidents of burglary and/or attempted burglary of Camera Equipment in Green Hall. The last known description is that of a male suspect, wearing a black or blue sweatshirt, with a white mask.

Liberty University strongly believes that no person is responsible for harm inflicted by another person.

Criminal incidents can be reported to LU CSAs who are designated, trained, and mandatory reporters under the Clery Act when victims chose not to report to law enforcement.

Reporting to law enforcement is encouraged by calling 9-1-1

If you can, get safely away from the area before calling 9-1-1. Ask for assistance from others around you if you are unable to get away or call 9-1-1.

Safely intervene and/or call for help if you witness disrespectful or inappropriate behavior, or a crime.
