How can a student attend CFAW for free?
Students who have submitted their Enrollment Deposit or had their application accepted may attend one free CFAW. If a student wishes to attend additional CFAW weekends, registration fees may apply.
How do Group Leaders register for CFAW?
Group Leaders can create a group in the CFAW portal and add their students to keep track of their group. Group Leaders also have the option of paying the CFAW fee for their entire group at once.
What time should students and guests arrive for CFAW?
Check-in is typically open on Thursday from 3-9 p.m. EST. Please refer to your event itinerary for specific times and locations. Programmed events do not start until Thursday afternoon.
Late check-in will be available at the CFAW Information Center in the Montview Student Union on Thursday, 9-10 p.m. EST, and on Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. EST.
Where does CFAW check-in usually take place?
CFAW check-in happens at the Alumni Ballroom in the Montview Student Union, and late check-in happens at the CFAW Information Center on the first floor of the Montview Student Union.
Is there an event during CFAW where guests can meet most offices and schools?
Yes! On Thursday night, all of Liberty University’s academic and auxiliary departments will be available at the “Getting to Know Liberty” event.
Where do CFAW students and guests park on campus during CFAW?
CFAW guest parking is available at the Runk & Pratt (Primary Weekend Parking Lot) and Academic Commons Garages (Secondary Weekend Parking). Signs will be displayed throughout campus to direct you to parking. We encourage all guests to park in the designated parking areas for the weekend, and not park in any areas designated with signage noted “No CFAW Parking.”
Can a student receive travel reimbursement for attending CFAW?
Students who attend CFAW are eligible to apply for travel reimbursement once they have matriculated. Students can visit our Travel Reimbursement page for more information on the policy.
Can students use the campus transit system during CFAW?
The transit system is available to CFAW guests and their families. Guests can download the myLU app to see live updates of the transit routes.
While on campus, will a wheelchair be provided if needed?
No, you will need to bring your own wheelchair accommodation or make prior arrangements to rent one. The Office of Disability Accommodation Support accessibility@liberty.edu is able to refer you to a local company for mobility device rentals.

Can family members attend Convocation?
Yes, please do! For the schedule, guest speaker list, and other related information, please visit the Office of Spiritual Development’s Convocation webpage. Please note that there are safety measures in place for all students and guests attending Convocation services.
All persons attending Convocation will go through a metal detector and bag check. Gates 1, 3, and 4 at the Vines Center and gates East and West at the Arena will open at 9:30 a.m.
Here are some suggestions that will aid in quick access:
- Arrive early.
- If possible, do not bring a book bag or any type of large bag unless it is clear. All bags entering the Vines Center will be searched.
- If you are a Concealed Carry Permit (CCP) holder, make sure you have your valid LU CCP along with your valid LU ID.
- To facilitate your seating selection as a family member, be sure to discuss ahead of time where your student plans to sit. Seating for Convocation is not reserved, so you are welcome to select seats that best suit your party.
Can students and parents both go to classes at CFAW?
Yes, both students and parents can attend classes during CFAW.
Can CFAW students go to off-campus Liberty University facilities?
Yes, they can! You can visit our facilities like the equestrian center, gun range, Snowflex, Hydaway, or aeronautics airport campus!
We have many events centered around these areas. Refer to your itinerary for the CFAW events hosted at these facilities.
When will the schedule for the next CFAW be available?
The schedule for CFAW is available online 1-2 weeks prior to the start of each event. There is a sample event guide and a sample parent itinerary available with a general template, but programming is subject to change for each event.
Can students meet with Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Military Affairs, or Transfer Evaluations?
Yes! Enrollment Assistance one-on-one appointments are available Friday and Saturday of CFAW to meet with the following departments: Resident Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Military Affairs, and Transfer Evaluations.
