What Will You Study in Our Woodwind, Brass, or Percussion Performance Bachelor’s Degree Program?
Throughout our bachelor’s degree in music with a performance focus in woodwind, brass, or percussion, you will study music theory, applied music studies, conducting, and music technology. You will also have the unique opportunity of working 1-on-1 with a distinguished instructor who can help further your technical and performance skills in your primary instrument.
As you progress in this degree program, you will study a secondary instrument as well. This program’s requirements include participating in various ensemble performances and showcasing your accomplishments in a senior recital. To help you gain more marketable experience, you will also complete an internship with the music organization of your choice.

Admissions
How Do You Become a Bachelor’s In Music Student?
Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following documents* for admission:
- Admission application
- Official high school transcripts
- Official college transcripts (if applicable)
- Admission essay
Results from the CLT, SAT, or ACT are not required for admission, but may be used in consideration for merit-based aid.
*Note that additional documentation may be requested by the admission committee after your application has been received.
