Liberty’s mission is to Train Champions for Christ. We understand this means investing in the whole person – not only focusing on their academic needs but also offering physical, emotional, and spiritual support. The LU Shepherd team is specifically focused on the spiritual and practical well-being of students. For years, our team has done just that for our on-campus students, creating connection and community. And now, we’re excited to expand our team to better serve our online students.
Our online LU Shepherd team ministers to online students first and foremost by being a prayer resource. But our calling extends to more than just prayer support. As with our on-campus students, we want to create connection and community. So, we provide practical support and mentoring resources by offering referrals to offices across the university. Finally, we actively seek to help students connect to the local church for spiritual growth, accountability, support, and sharing of their spiritual gifts.
