Summer Experiences: CRU

Chicago is one of the most exciting cities in the world! Located in the heart of this great city, this mission will seek to both reach out to the 300,000+ university students with the Gospel while also placing great emphasis on developing student leaders. You can expect to develop practical ministry skills and the tools necessary to be a strategic leader both in Chicago and back on campus at Liberty.

Chicago is home to many of the largest businesses and corporations in the world. If an internship is needed, Chicago has so much to offer. Work your internship during the day, and do be part of the mission on nights and weekends which will give an incredible summer experience you won’t forget.

The Orlando Summer Mission Headquarters Internship allows you to maximize your summer by combining the best of a professional summer internship with a Cru stateside summer mission. Interns will engage in mission-critical work, gain great work experience, and make friends along the way. The work will be especially well-suited for those with an interest/aptitude in communication, marketing, entrepreneurship, public relations, design (graphic, video, and web), programming, and UX/UI, yet all majors are invited to apply.

Participants will be working in a variety of departments at Cru’s Global Headquarters as they serve with the Campus Ministry, Jesus Film Project, Family Life, Cru Inner City, her.Bible and more. The work that student participants will engage with will be utilized in Cru movements around the globe.

Experienced Cru leaders will provide mentoring and oversight to help you hone your professional skills in the context of Cru’s Great Commission calling. You will receive individual discipleship along with small groups, outreaches, and lots of fellowship to help you grow in your faith.

Serve God in the midst of His beautiful creation, as you grow in the intimacy of your walk with Him, develop leadership skills, and learn how to share your faith naturally in any situation. Cru staff will give you one-on-one discipleship with clear and practical ministry training. You will work a job (money earned can be used for college next semester), learn to share with your co-workers, live in a close-knit community with other college students, and experience a summer that will equip you for Spirit-filled conversations for the rest of your life.

At the end of the summer, our hope is that you have a greater understanding of and love for Jesus and that as an overflow of loving Christ you will be compelled to tell others about His amazing love!

Less than 1 percent of its population (127 million) even claims to be Christian. Japan is the largest unreached people group in the world. Join us this summer as we partner with Student Impact, the Japanese Cru movement, to reach some of the most influential universities in Japan. There will be connections made with interested students to build relationships and share the Gospel as well as opportunities to do initiative evangelism and meet new students. Relationship building is a big part of this mission as this is a way to open inroads to sharing the Gospel.

Spending the summer in Japan is part of the farming process—we sow many seeds, nurture these seeds, and reap the fruit. Whether the reaping happens during our trip, or months, even years later, it is in God’s hands.
