CSER 100
CSER 100 is a free online Canvas course developed by LU Serve to educate students about the CSER program at Liberty University. All new and transfer students are automatically enrolled at the beginning of their first semester (Fall/Spring). If you are a returning student who still needs to take CSER 100, consider taking it to equip you with the knowledge to serve effectively in the community. Students who complete this course with 100% accuracy will receive one CSER credit toward their graduation requirements.
Who should take CSER 100?
LU Serve encourages all students to take the course. Returning students can elect to take the course if they want. All new & transfer students are automatically enrolled at the beginning of their first semester (Fall/Spring).
What’s in CSER 100?
Students work through a series of videos, readings, exercises, and quizzes on various aspects of CSER. The course contains several modules ranging from policies and procedures, career enhancement, and safety. Students must score 100% on each quiz to complete the course. Quizzes can be taken as many times as needed. CSER 100 final grades are either P or NP (pass or not pass). This grade does not affect GPA.
Will I earn CSER credit through CSER 100?
Yes. Upon completing CSER 100, students will earn one CSER credit toward their graduation requirement. If a student does not pass the course, they can retake it in a future term. Students can only earn a maximum of one credit through the course. The remaining CSER credits must be earned through serving with approved CSER organizations.
Can I take CSER 100 and complete another CSER at the same time?
Yes. Students can earn additional CSER credits in the same term they complete CSER 100. Enrolling in this course does not prevent students from serving with other CSER organizations. Keep in mind, however, that students must serve a minimum of 20 hours with an approved organization to earn additional CSER credit.
How do I enroll?
Simply submit a registration through the CSER Dashboard. Students can also drop the course after enrollment.
