General Selection (Any Major)

Divinity students have unique skills and abilities to pour into the campus and the Lynchburg community. Students can serve through student leadership, get involved with SGA clubs, travel with LU Send, or serve alongside their faculty with unique research and service projects. Students can also serve with local charities or find ways to lead at local churches using their ministry training and biblical education.

Biblical & Theological Studies

Students majoring in Biblical Studies or Theological Studies can find unique service projects geared toward research or ministerial training. Local churches and CRU Lynchburg are ways for students to put their education to use in the body of Christ by leading Bible studies and small groups. Museums such as the Rawlings Scriptorium offer hands-on experience working with historical religious artifacts. Clubs like Ratio Christi focus on apologetics training among the student body.

Global Studies

Students majoring in Global Studies should seek out service opportunities related to engaging the global community. Students can do this through a variety of local missions’ organizations or through serving directly with Global Studies. They can also complete CSER while completing their GLST internship overseas.

Christian Leadership & Church Ministries

Students majoring in CLCM degrees have many options available to them. Students can serve local organizations like CRU Lynchburg, The Master’s Inn, Young Life, and Word of Life Ministries. They can also serve through the School of Divinity through PLED courses, Scaremare, YouthQuest, or with faculty on service-based research projects.

Students should also look for ways to complete CSER with one of several youth camps and sports outreach ministries around the country.
