Graduate Certificate in CTE Transition and Special Needs Admission Requirements
The admission requirements listed below apply to the Graduate Certificate in CTE Transition and Special Needs.
- Apply online or call a Liberty University Admissions Counselor at (800) 424-9596.
- A non-refundable, non-transferable $50 application fee will be posted on the current application upon enrollment (waived for qualifying service members, veterans, and military spouses – documentation verifying military status is required).

Mail official college transcripts (sealed, unopened copy or via a direct electronic transcript system) indicating a regionally or nationally accredited bachelor’s degree. We can assist you in requesting these items if you submit a transcript request form. For admission in good standing, you must possess a regionally or nationally accredited bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Proof of initial licensure issued by the Virginia Department of Education in elementary education, middle grades education, or secondary education is required. If you hold licensure in another state, you may apply for reciprocity in the State of Virginia.

Applicants whose native language is other than English must submit official scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or an approved alternative assessment. For information on alternative assessments or TOEFL waivers, please call Admissions or view the official International Admissions policy.
Liberty University’s Official College Transcript Policy
An acceptable official college transcript must be issued directly from the institution in a sealed envelope with a signature across the back. If you have one in your possession, it must meet the same requirements.
