This course provides the framework to the structure and strategy surrounding financial life coaching. Special attention will be given to personal financial strategies for navigating spending, debt, and investing.

Our pressing concern at the inception of class is that God cares about how we view and use money. This course seeks to meet that challenge by equipping students to biblically guide individuals how to wisely handle their finances.

Discussions (4)

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will complete 4 Discussions that specifically relate to weekly content. The first three Discussions will be completed in 2 parts: 1) the student will submit a thread in answer to the question provided (300 word minimum), and 2) the student will post replies to at least 2 other classmates’ threads (150 word minimum each). The final discussion will include a thread and a reflection with no required replies. (CLOs: A, B, C, D, E)

Case Study Assignments (3)

The student will complete 3 Case Study papers. In these assignments, the student will be presented with a specific case scenario applicable to the course material. The student will respond to each case using the material covered in class up to that date. Each Case Study must include 4-5 pages of content and follow current APA format. (CLOs: A, B, C, D, E)

Quizzes (4)

The student will complete 4 quizzes which are cumulative and cover the material presented in the Learn material. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a 45-minute time limit. (CLOs: A, B, C, D)
