This is a 2-3-page research-based paper analyzing a detailed case study of an ethical dilemma in health science research, identifying key ethical issues, evaluating potential consequences, and recommending an ethically sound course of action with justification. (MLO: A, B, C)
This assignment requires students to systematically organize and analyze scholarly sources related to their dissertation topic. By completing a literature review matrix, students will identify key themes, methodologies, and theoretical frameworks to support the development of their dissertation proposal. This tool will assist in preparing a comprehensive literature review (Chapter 2) and inform methodological choices (Chapter 3). (MLO: A, B, C)
The student will write a 2-page research-based paper in current APA format. Begin this assignment by identifying existing theories and conceptual frameworks relevant to your research topic. Consider their applicability to your research context. Select one theoretical framework from your literature review and explain why this theoretical framework is the most suitable for your study. Discuss its strengths and how it enhances the research. Ensure that the theoretical framework chosen supports the research design and methodology you plan to use. The paper must include at least 5 reference(s) in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible. (MLO: B, E)
This is a 1-2 page chart to help students articulate the differences among various research methods in health sciences by synthesizing their key characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages, thereby enhancing their ability to select appropriate methodologies for their research questions (MLO: C).
This is a 5-7 page paper analyzing a recent grant proposal from a reputable health sciences funding agency that aligns with the student’s research interests, summarizing its key details, evaluating its alignment with agency priorities, assessing its target population needs, analyzing its research design and methodology, discussing anticipated outcomes and public health impact, and providing constructive feedback for improvement (MLO: A, C, D).
The first chapter of the dissertation or applied research project sets the stage for the research by providing a comprehensive overview of the study. It introduces the research topic, establishes the significance, and outlines the structure of the research. The goal of this assignment is to clearly define the research problem, the scope and significance of the research, and detail the research questions and hypotheses. This will be a full outline of the student’s chapter one. (MLO: A, B, E)
