Rationale
Chaplains need to be prepared to minister religiously in secular and pluralistic environments without compromising their theology and scriptural convictions. Chaplains serving in corporations must be prepared to evaluate complex ministry environments, spiritual opportunities, and challenges. Corporate Chaplains need to be able to lead spiritually and minister biblically in the unique setting to which God has called them.

They should include: God’s call to salvation, ministry and corporate chaplaincy, what experience and skills they have, how they want God to use them to serve Him as a corporate chaplain in sharing the gospel, comforting and ministering to others in the workplace. Biblical, Theological, and Philosophical Foundations of Corporate Chaplaincy Paper Assignment
The student will write a 1000-1200-word paper examining the corporate chaplaincy’s biblical, theological, and philosophical foundations is necessary for a strong ministry. The Bible is the basis, starting with theology as the application and philosophy as the outlook for practice. Laying these firm foundations allows chaplains to move forward with a biblical ministry in the workplace. The student must include at least 3 scholarly references. (CLO: A, B, D)
Case Study Paper Assignment
Case studies are the ‘head work’ for persons preparing for ministry that equips them to be ready
when the contingency in the case study presents itself in a real situation. The student will write a 900–1200-word paper detailing their response to the case study. They will include a
biblical response to the Case Study and provide an understanding of the case in the context as a corporate chaplain. The paper must include at least 3 scholarly references. (CLO: A, C, D)
Crises and Trauma Plan for the Workplace Paper Assignment
From the Bible, textbooks, assignments and other sources, the student will develop a crises and trauma plan that they can use in the workplace you serve or will serve as a corporate chaplain. The student must make sure to include scripture and prayer in each section. This paper will not be comprehensive, and the student may add to it later so it will be a resource to them in the workplace as a chaplain. The student will write a 1000–1200-word (title page, content page, and reference page are excluded from word count) research-based paper in current Turabian format incorporating at least 3 references. Corporate Chaplaincy Ministry Workplace Plan Paper Assignment
This paper will be a useful tool, guide, resource, for a corporate chaplain in the workplace. The student will use their Bible, textbooks, assignments, PowerPoints, and videos within this course, as well as other outside resources, to create and assemble a personal guide for use as a corporate chaplain. This will be the student’s personal plan to minister in the workplace as a corporate chaplain. This paper will be 1500-2000 words and include at least 20 references using current Turabian formatting.
