ARTS 478 Interactive Design II

Advanced theory and application of interactive design development technologies with focus on understanding emergent, and relevant web media. Creating interactive executions of varying degrees across different platforms. Understanding and developing campaigns built upon interactive principles of user experience and user interface. May be taken twice for credit.

Understanding of advanced interactive design is necessary for a designer to communicate effectively across all digital platforms and reach intended audiences in an accessible way. Interactive design development and understanding how to create and implement web applications is expected in the design industry as more information is communicated digitally.

Discussions (6)

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided prompt. Each thread must be at least 150 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to the threads of at least 2 classmates. Each reply must be at least 75 words and contain visual support where appropriate. Any sources used must be cited in current MLA format.

Mobile App Prototype Final Draft Assignment

The student will submit the final draft of his/her cohesive and comprehensive prototype of an app using the topic/subject/category that was assigned to him/her within the Internet of Things and Design Thinking.

The student will develop comprehensive user personas for a specific target audience.

The student will be using Figma to test his/her prototypes on three different people from his/her target demographic. The student will record the user testing and analyze the results to make any necessary changes to his/her prototypes.

The student will complete the tutorials based on the LinkedIn Learning Course.

Questionnaire Assignments (8)

The student will complete questionnaires on various topics throughout the course in the Connect platform.

Process Book Assignments (7)

The student will create a process book documenting project progress, wireframes, etc. The student will submit 6 Process Book Draft Assignments before submitting the Final.

Quizzes (8)

Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the Module: Week in which it is assigned. Each quiz will be open-notes; contain 5 multiple-choice, true/false, and multiple answer questions.
