Demography and Populations highlights the basic methods and models used by geographers to study the behavior of human populations. This course examines the sociological, geographical, historical, political, and economic influences of fertility, mortality, and migration on population change.

The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an overview of how populations change over time. Special consideration is given as to how social, political, and economic forces blend with physical geography to impact population change.
