PADM 804 Intergovernmental Relations/Intergovernmental Management and Public Administration

This course will examine intergovernmental relations (IGR), the interplay between and among American local and state governments and the federal government, and the implications for public administration professionals as they seek to ensure the effective execution of policies and regulations at all levels of governance. The course will address communication, coordination, cooperation, and dispute resolution between the various levels of government.

Discussions (4)

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided promptly for each discussion. Each thread must be 750 words, demonstrate course-related knowledge and use current APA format. Use only peer reviewed sources in the posts and reply to the peers’ posts. Use five (5) sources not including the Bible. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 250 words that relate to the thread posting and include at least 1 citation in current APA format and the Bible. The responses should include a salutation and be academically written. 

Case Study Assignments (6)

For the Case Study Assignments, the student will write a 8-10 page research-based paper in current APA format and include 8-10 scholarly references not including the course textbooks and the Bible.

For Case Study: Federal/State/Local Collaboration Networks in Disasters Assignment the student will write a 10-12-page paper and include 8-10 scholarly references  not including the course textbooks and the Bible.
