Learning the technologies, applications, and processes for interior design from start to finish is a vital part of the creative design process.

Students will complete two discussions.

Business Owner Interview Assignment

Students will interview a client and inquire personnel and equipment requirements, expectations for scope of construction, and business description and operations. 

Interior Project Proposal Assignment

Students will write a two page summary describing the existing floor space, the proposed demolition and construction process. 

Floor Plan Assignment

Students will create an existing, demolition, and proposed floor plan to present to a client. 

Vision Board Assignment

Students will use an online platform to develop a vision board that includes Images and swatches of cabinets, shelving, counters, interior finishes, and décor. 

Three-Dimensional Rendering

Using a rendering software of choice, students will transform their clients’ 2D floor plan into a 3D rendering.

Revision Plan Assignment

Students will write a (minimum) one page summary, explaining a revision plan for the Final Presentation Assignment.

Final Presentation Assignment

Students will create a presentation including all elements of the design process to present to selected client.
