The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of real estate appraisal. This course integrates the concepts of the appraisal process focusing on the cost approach, the sales comparison approach, and the income capitalization approach in real-world applications.

Appraisal Project Assignment

The Appraisal Project Assignment will be a comprehensive pro-forma financial analysis and valuation of a proposed multi-family development. The assignment should be 1,000 words in length, supported by 5 scholarly sources, and follow APA formatting standards.

There will be quizzes each week covering concepts from the textbook readings. The quizzes will be open-book/open-notes, consist of 10-15 multiple-choice questions, and have a 60-minute time limit.
