Through Experience Plus, Liberty University recognizes that Hendrick employees and families have valuable experiences that they bring to the academic environment of higher education. For that reason, we believe you should receive college credit for learning that can be demonstrated through experience and training.
In some cases, credit may be awarded directly for job training, based on a precedent that has been established by our university. In other cases, students will need to petition for credit through the official portfolio process.
We offer 4 ways to gain credit for past experience:
- Exams and courses (take tests or complete courses to determine your mastery level)
- Portfolios (for knowledge gained from your training and life experience)
- Military training (your military training can help you gain undergraduate and graduate college credit)
- Completed certificate programs (unaccredited, Liberty-approved certificate programs can be turned into college credit)
