Admission Requirements for Liberty University’s Online Programs
As you embark on your academic journey, the admissions process can seem overwhelming at first. We are committed to making the admissions and enrollment process as simple as possible by providing three easy steps to work towards starting your degree at Liberty University!
Step 1 – Apply!

As an accredited online Christian university, Liberty University offers over 450 undergraduate and graduate certificates, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, postgraduate degrees, and doctoral degrees.
Admissions applications can be submitted online or over the phone with an Admissions Counselor.

Step 2 – Submit your Admissions Documents
Once you have applied to an online degree program, you will need to submit required documentation to be reviewed for admission. You may fax, email, or mail your unofficial transcripts. Official transcripts must either be mailed or submitted directly to Liberty University from your previous institution through an electronic official transcript system.
The following are general admission requirements per program level. For more specific admissions requirements, please contact an Admissions Counselor.
- Online undergraduate certificate program requirements
- High School Self-Certification form and official high school transcripts within first 12 credit hours
- Official transcripts of any prior college experience
- Online associate degree and online bachelor’s degree requirements
- High School Self-Certification form and official high school transcripts within first 12 credit hours
- Official college transcripts – unofficial transcripts can be used for admission when a transcript request form is also submitted, however, official transcripts will be required after 60 days
- Online graduate certificate program requirements
- Official college transcript showing a completed bachelor’s degree
- Online master’s degree requirements
- Official college transcripts showing a completed bachelor’s degree – unofficial transcripts can be used for admission when a transcript request form is also submitted, however, official transcripts will be required after 60 days
- Online postgraduate degree and online doctoral degree requirements
- Official college transcripts showing a completed master’s degree
Step 3: Secure your Funding / Start the Financial Aid Process
While most of our students use financial aid, you may also be eligible for corporate tuition assistance, military benefits or our flexible payment plans. If you want to discuss your options and tuition costs, please call an Admissions Counselor.
