Mary Dowell, EdD, EdS, MSN-Ed, RN

Biography
Professor Mary Dowell graduated from Liberty University with a BSN in 1997. While working on her MSN in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed) Professor Dowell was introduced to the use of simulation-based learning in higher education which became the focus during her studies. In 2014, she completed the EdS degree from Liberty University and has been teaching in the School of Nursing since 2014. Currently, Professor Dowell teaches NURS 104 and is pursuing a Doctorate in Education from Liberty University. Professor Dowell has 15 years’ experience working with patients on Medical Surgical Units. She enjoys sharing her clinical experience with students pursing a BSN degree while including Biblical perspectives.
