Biography

Elie Green graduated from Liberty University with her BSN in 2016, her MSN-Nurse Educator in 2020, and is currently enrolled in LU’s PhD in Nursing Education program. While she is originally from the eastern shore of Maryland, she has lived in Lynchburg, VA since 2007. She began working for Liberty University in 2018 as an adjunct faculty member teaching as a clinical instructor for LUSON’s distant site program at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. In 2020, she joined the program in a full-time capacity as the APRN Simulation Center Director before transitioning in 2024 to a faculty role for the undergraduate program. Within the clinical setting, her background is in emergency medicine, where she began her career following her graduation from Liberty University’s undergraduate program, with additional experience within intermediate care, pediatric emergency nursing, and medical missions.

Elie has a love for facilitating resiliency and grit within the nursing student population, aiding new graduate nurses during their transition to competent bedside nurses, using simulation to help students learn new skills, and supporting students as they transition their nursing skills into the mission field. She emphasizes training not only nurses who are capable of delivering safe and high-quality care, but who are also able to show and share their love of Christ with all whom they interact. She believes that faith is foundational to the development of well-rounded students that are able to embrace both the art and science of nursing in the classroom, simulation, and clinical settings.
