Natalie Worley, 2021
MSN
My name is Natalie Worley and I graduated from Liberty University with an MSN in Health Policy.
One of my favorite passages in Scripture is Proverbs 31:8-9, “Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.” I think nurses have a unique opportunity to live this passage out as advocates for patients and populations.
In my own work as a nurse, I seek to use my Christian faith to support and promote ethical hospital and public policies for the sake of our patients’ access to excellent healthcare.
I am currently transitioning into the role of nurse manager on a med-surg unit at my hospital. It is my prayer that I can use my education and position to advocate for my nursing team, and the needs of the patient populations we treat in our community.
