Liberty announces added role to Provost, Dr. Scott Hicks

Liberty University announces that effective September 16, 2022, Dr. Scott Hicks will assume all responsibilities for online academic functions in addition to his role as the Provost and Chief Academic Officer for the university.

Dr. Hicks currently oversees all aspects of academic administration and has faithfully led Liberty University through times of tremendous growth with excellence and distinction.  His role as Liberty University’s Provost will now be expanded to include leadership over all aspects of online academic functions.

Dr. Hicks began at Liberty University in 2007. He became Dean of the School of Business in 2012 and in 2017 he was named vice provost of graduate education. He has served as Chief Academic Officer since 2019. Dr. Scott Hicks holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with concentrations in Financial Management and International Business from Northcentral University and an MBA and B.S. in Business Management with specializations in Finance and Management from Liberty University.
