Mark Hall, lead singer of the top Christian band Casting Crowns, was a busy man at Liberty University on Saturday. During the day, he was a speaker at the Momentum Youth Ministry Conference and at night he performed for the College For A Weekend concert.
But that wasn’t too much trouble for a man who manages to tour around the country and still lead his youth group of 400 students each Wednesday night in Atlanta, Ga.
Hall is clearly focused on ministry and that’s why he teamed with Global Youth Ministry to offer the all-day Momentum Conference, sponsored by Liberty’s Center for Youth Ministry. The conference was open to youth leaders, youth workers, and students in sixth through 12th grades. There was also a special session for LU students interested in youth work.
The conference schedule also included other big names in youth ministry: Roger Glidewell, founder of Global Youth Ministry, and Bobby McGraw, a featured speaker for the group.
Global Youth Ministry conducts the Momentum Conferences throughout the country and around the world to equip youth leaders with biblical principles and practical, take-home tools for ministering to teens and to help students get a clear direction for becoming a healthier youth group.
Youth ministry is the second most-enrolled program in Liberty’s School of Religion.
