Liberty School of Music, Michael W. Smith to host annual Night of Worship

The School of Music’s 2019 Night of Worship

This Sunday, April 18, at 7 p.m. in the Thomas Road Baptist Church sanctuary, the Liberty University School of Music will present its 14th Annual Night of Worship, featuring special guest and university partner Michael W. Smith.

Smith and his team continue to be an enthusiastic and encouraging part of the School of Music through the Michael W. Smith Center for Commercial Music.

“Michael W. Smith was here earlier this semester, and our students were able to interact with him more than ever before,” School of Music Dean Stephen Müller said. “It is amazing to see Michael and his team’s servant leadership in action as they mentor and pour into our students. What a partnership and blessing to serve alongside this incredible team. We’re grateful for the impact the Michael W. Smith Center for Commercial Music is making on our students.”

Müller said the School of Music is also grateful to be able to hold the evening in person as last year’s Night of Worship was virtual due to COVID-19.

“After a long and hard year, it will be wonderful to come together and enjoy being led in worship by our students,” Müller said. “God is good, and He is doing a work in the midst of trial. What may appear to be an ‘out-of-control fire’ often leads to a purifying moment of worship at the altar before God. We’re excited to worship with the body of Christ on April 18.”

Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and admission is free. The evening will also be available to view on the School of Music’s Facebook page.
