Liberty Softball earns ninth straight Top 25 appearance, longest in program history

The Liberty Softball team has appeared in the Top 25 of at least one national poll in each of the last nine releases (2024 postseason, 2025 preseason, weeks 1-7), setting a new record for the longest streak of consecutive Top 25 appearances in program history.
The D1Softball Top 25 poll is voted on by a group of national analysts and media members who cover the game on a consistent basis.
The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA’s Division I Conferences. Polls will be released Tuesdays at 10 a.m. throughout the regular season.
The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives from nine Division I Conferences in the 10 USA Softball Regions as well as members of national and local media who consistently cover Division I softball across the country.
The Lady Flames (27-6, 8-0 CUSA) went 7-2 on their recently-completed nine-game road swing and return home for eight of their next nine games. Liberty is 6-5 against Power Conference opponents this season and has a win over No. 12 Alabama to its credit.
Roupe continued to dominate CUSA pitching especially, batting .625 (5-for-8) with a double, two homers, five RBI, six runs scored, a 1.500 slugging percentage and .727 on base percentage during a three-game sweep at Jax State. For the week as a whole, which also included a doubleheader at No. 13 Duke and a win at UNC, she hit .438 (7-for-16) with one double, three homers, six RBI, and seven runs scored.
Liberty will host Longwood Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will take on UTEP in a three-game CUSA series, Friday through Sunday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
