Faculty awarded for excellence in teaching, research mentorship

Several Liberty University faculty members were recognized during the end-of-the year Provost’s Convocation on Wednesday for their impact this academic year.
2018 President’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching
These awards are presented to faculty who are committed to exceptional teaching in either the residential or online classrooms. Several areas are considered, including the integration of faith into learning, use of instructional technology, innovation, scholarship, and a commitment to the personal growth of each student. Winners are selected based on peer nominations, deans’ endorsements, and student testimonials. Recipients received monetary gifts and were formally honored at the Provost’s Convocation on May 9.
2018 Provost’s Awards for Excellence in Research Mentorship
This award is given to faculty members who exemplify a commitment to best practices in teaching and mentoring undergraduate research. Winners are selected through a formal peer nomination, dean support, faculty input, and student contribution.
