Darren Whitehead, Chris Tomlin, Jonathan Falwell to speak in Convocation

Author Darren Whitehead, renowned worship artist Chris Tomlin, and local pastor Jonathan Falwell will be some of the faces gracing the Liberty University Convocation stage next week.
Whitehead and Tomlin will speak on Monday, Nov. 13. The two will be discussing the book they co-wrote, “Holy Roar,” which focuses on the importance of worship. Whitehead is the pastor of Church of the City in Franklin, Tenn., and Tomlin has sold more than 7 million albums. Tomlin last spoke in Convocation in 2014.
Falwell, senior pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church, will be in Convocation on Wednesday, Nov. 15. He has spoken in Convocation numerous times. In September, Falwell Skyped with students from St. Martin after he assisted with relief efforts following Hurricane Irma.
There will be no Convocation held in the Vines Center on Friday, Nov. 17. Schools and departments may choose to hold degree-specific Convocations at separate locations. Students will be notified if their school is included.
Convocation will resume on Monday, Nov. 27, after students return from Thanksgiving break.
A 10-day Convocation schedule is announced each Monday.
