CBN News Exclusive: Commencement speaker President Donald Trump

CBN News was the first to report on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald J. Trump will deliver the Commencement address at Liberty University on May 13. In a Brody File Exclusive, Trump told David Brody that it is an honor to speak to Liberty graduates: “I look forward to speaking to this amazing group of students on such a momentous occasion. Our children truly are the future and I look forward to celebrating the success of this graduating class as well as sharing lessons as they embark on their next chapter full of hope, faith, optimism, and a passion for life.”

Brody reported that Liberty President Jerry Falwell is “very close with President Trump and one of his most prominent evangelical backers during the 2016 presidential campaign.” Brody learned that Falwell and his family had visited The White House on Thursday.

The report quoted Trump as saying, “I am proud to call Jerry Falwell Jr., his wife Becki, and their entire family my friends.”
