TV station airs story of future Liberty student

WCNC, Charlotte’s NBC affiliate, shared the touching story of Ryan Noblett of Rock Hill, S.C., who graduated high school with honors and was planning to attend Liberty University in the fall but doctors discovered he has end-stage renal failure and will have to delay enrollment to recover from a kidney transplant. The station reported that Noblett’s mother will donate one of her kidneys to her son for the surgery, which is scheduled in July.

Ryan Noblett has not let adversity affect his way of life, the television report said. He graduated sixth in his class with a 4.87 GPA and several honors, despite being blind.

If his recovery goes well, he plans to begin attending Liberty in January and pursue a B.S. in Criminal Justice: Strategic Intelligence Studies, through the Helms School of Government.
