Five new members selected for Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame

Five new members will be inducted into the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony in September. The Hall of Fame’s Class of 2015 will include representatives from football, women’s basketball, baseball and wrestling.

The seventh class of inductees since the inaugural seven-member Class of 2009 includes Eric Green (football, 1985-89), Mike Hatch (wrestling, 1984-87), Katie (Feenstra) Mattera (women’s basketball, 2002-05), Sam Rutigliano (football coach, 1989-99) and Pat Sipe (baseball, 1983-86).

This year’s induction ceremony will be held Sept. 18 on the Club Pavilion level of the Williams Stadium Tower before the new inductees are recognized during the home football game against Montana, set for 7 p.m. on Sept. 19.
