Biography
Dr. Brian Stiffler is a musician and educator who has collaborated with faculty and students to strengthen and implement robust music education and arts programs at the university and high school levels for over 30 years. As well as leading instrumental music programs in Mississippi, Ohio, and Germany, he has led instruction at the University of Southern Mississippi, Pearl River College, the University of Illinois, the University of Dayton, and Wright State University. Dr. Stiffler, a horn player, has been a member of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, among other notable ensembles. He is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Ohio Music Educators Association, the Virginia Music Educators Association, and the International Horn Society. He also enjoys serving in the music ministry at Patterson Park Church in Beavercreek, Ohio, and in mission projects worldwide with the Celebration Orchestra.
Dr. Stiffler joined the School of Music faculty at Liberty University in the fall of 2020. He now serves as an Instructional Mentor for the School of Music Online, a Subject Matter Expert, the Doctor of Music Education Program Director, and the Ph.D. in Music Education Program Director.
