Welcome to Liberty University! As the Veterans Center Supervisor, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your service and convey my excitement to meet and support you throughout this school year. Whether you are a new student or returning, your commitment and sacrifices are deeply appreciated, and we are dedicated to ensuring you have the resources and assistance needed to thrive academically and personally. I warmly invite you to visit the Veterans Center, located in the Montview Student Union, Suite 2770. Our center offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy free coffee, connect with fellow veterans, and access a variety of resources. Whether you need a quiet space in our conference room, wish to prepare a meal in our kitchenette, or use our computers equipped with CAC card readers, the Veterans Center is here to support you.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your military education benefits, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am here to help you navigate your educational journey and ensure you have the support you need. Additionally, I encourage you to get involved with our student groups, such as the Student Veterans Association or Students Behind our Military. These organizations provide valuable opportunities for connection, support, and involvement. I look forward to seeing you at the Veterans Center and around campus. What’s New at LU
Liberty is excited to welcome United States Marine Corps Major General Jason Q. Bohm as the new dean of the Helms School of Government. With over 34 years of distinguished military service, Major General Bohm brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our University. Recently serving as the Inspector General of the Marine Corps, General Bohm’s career highlights include roles such as Chief of Staff for Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, Commanding General of the Marine Corps Recruiting Command, and Director of the Marine Corps Legislative Liaison Office. He has participated in numerous operations, including Iraqi Freedom and Inherent Resolve, earning several prestigious decorations. “I look forward to facilitating the success of Liberty’s faculty and staff in developing our students into Christ-centered men and women of honor and character, empowered with the values, knowledge, and skills essential for impacting the world,” Major General Bohm said. LU President Dondi Costin and Provost Scott Hicks expressed their confidence in Major General Bohm’s ability to lead and inspire the next generation of leaders. Read more.
