Army IgnitED 2.0 Update

  • The new ArmyIgnitED 2.0 site is fully functional for TA requests! If you have not yet set up your new ArmyIgnitED account, you may do so here. We have provided some helpful guidance on how to get started in ArmyIgnitED on our website here.
  • Once you have set up your ArmyIgnitED 2.0 account, you may click the “Apply for Funding” link on your ArmyIgnitED dashboard page to begin your TA request. Please keep the following in mind:
    • Students must apply for Army TA in the portal no earlier than 60 days and no later than 7 days prior to the course start date.
    • LU will not be uploading course registrations to the new ArmyIgnitED site. Instead, the entire LU course catalog has been uploaded to the new ArmyIgnitED 2.0 site for you to find your course and request TA.
    • There will be no more blanket ETP for FY23 courses and beyond (course start dates of 1 October 2022 and later). All TA requests must be submitted in the upgraded ArmyIgnitED.
    • TA is approved on a course-by-course basis and only for the specific course(s) and dates that a student requests.
    • Students will need to upload an evaluated degree plan to ArmyIgnited prior to the completion of two courses. To request a degree plan, you can email mildcp@liberty.edu.
    • Once your TA request has been approved, please email your approved TA form to our office at luomilitary@liberty.edu. Once received, our office will review your form and will process your approved TA to your student account within 3-5 business days.

GI Bill® Chapter 33 Post 9/11 Enrollment Verification

  • As a reminder, students using the Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill® are now required to verify their enrollment each month with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to continue receiving Monthly Housing Allowance and/or kicker payments. Students can verify their enrollment with the VA via text or email.
  • For information on opting in to text message verification, we recommend visiting the VA’s website. If you opt out of text message verification, do not have a US mobile phone number or are unable to verify by text message for any other reason, you will be automatically enrolled in email verification via the email address on file with the VA. If you were enrolled and using your GI Bill® during the previous month, you will need to respond “YES” to the VA once the text or email is received the following month.
  • If you are unable to verify via text or email, you will need to contact the VA directly via phone at (888) 422-4551. Please be advised that Liberty University’s Office of Military Affairs cannot verify your enrollment with the VA on your behalf and is unable to assist with text or email verification setup.
  • If you have any further questions or need assistance, please contact us by calling (855) 355-4947, emailing VABenefits@liberty.edu, or chatting live.
