Guest Hooder Information
LUCOM policy permits student doctors to be hooded by a guest hooder, at the LUCOM Hooding Ceremony. This individual must be an immediate family member (i.e., parent, sibling, or spouse) and hold either an MD or DO degree. Please note that you may not request to be hooded by a specific LUCOM faculty member.
You may request a guest hooder by completing the Guest Hooder Survey distributed by the Office of the Registrar at LUCOM. All requests will be reviewed by the Dean.
If approved, your guest hooder will receive more information about their role, once the review process is complete.
Guest hooders should wear business professional attire. They are not required to wear regalia, though they are welcome to, if they already possess it. LUCOM will not provide regalia to guest hooders.
Regalia
Please visit the Commencement Regalia page for information related to student regalia purchases or rentals.
