LUCOM’s Class of 2025

As the interviewing season for medical school admissions comes to a conclusion, the Admissions Office at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) will be conducting interviews until the end of March. Currently, the Class of 2025 is filled with our maximum number of 162 new Liberty University osteopathic medical students. Candidates who interview now and are accepted by the Admissions Committee are placed on a Provisional Acceptance list. Once a seat opens up due to a forfeiture, we contact applicants from that list to offer them a spot in the class.

If your plans to matriculate at LUCOM change, please email Barry Ousley, assistant director of admissions, at bjousley@liberty.edu, so that we can offer that seat to another candidate.

Webinars

As we prepare to welcome you to LUCOM, our Interim Dean Joseph Johnson, DO, along with our administrative staff, are preparing a series of webinars to assist in your transition to Liberty’s osteopathic medical college. Our next one is scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, at 4 p.m. During this webinar, we will highlight Financial Aid and more about Student Services. To help prepare you for the Financial Aid portion, you are encouraged to watch this brief presentation ahead of the webinar. At the conclusion, should you have any questions and/or concerns related to Financial Aid, please email LUCOMFinancialAid@liberty.edu.

For those who could not attend the previous webinar, please take a moment to view this important announcement related to Student Health Records.

Refer a Friend

Thank you to those who have referred other applicants to Admissions. If you know of anyone who may be interested in interviewing with LUCOM, please send their information via email to LUCOMAdmissions@liberty.edu. We greatly appreciate referrals from our current students.

Matriculation Items

If you were accepted after Jan.1, your matriculation items are due Monday, May 1. Items such as the immunizations and titers may take longer to process and receive the results, so please allow for time to make sure that we receive checklist items before the deadline. The COVID-19 situation may also create delays in getting your immunizations and titers, so you may need to get an early start on those items. Requests for extensions on the due dates for immunizations and titers should be directed via email to Tammy Weigner, clinical director of health records and outreach, at tlweigner@liberty.edu.

Should you experience issues with CastleBranch accepting your proof of insurance, please contact the Office of Admissions via email at LUCOMAdmissions@liberty.edu, to see if we can accept the documents you are presenting for that proof of insurance.

Class of 2025 Facebook Group

Have you joined the LUCOM Class of 2025 Facebook Group? If not, please request to join so that you can start meeting your future classmates. Members of previous classes often join in the group, and they are always willing to answer any questions you may have and provide helpful hints for success at LUCOM.

LUCOM Tours

We continue to offer tours of the Center for Medical and Health Sciences, the state-of-the-art facility where LUCOM is located, Monday through Friday for accepted student-doctors only. If you are interested in scheduling a tour, please contact the Office of Admissions via email at LUCOMAdmissions@liberty.edu.

We are drawing ever nearer to the beginning of orientation, which starts on Tuesday, July 27, and we look forward to your arrival.
