Judge Michael J. Valentine

The Honorable Michael J. Valentine, a judge with more than twenty-five years of judicial experience, is the next featured speaker of the 2006 Speakers’ Forum at Liberty University School of Law. The presentation will be at 2:45 PM on Wednesday, March 1, in the Student Services Center of the law school.

Judge Valentine currently serves as senior judge for Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court in Fairfax County, Virginia.

He is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and Washington College of Law at American University. A former partner in Dunn and Valentine of Fairfax, he was appointed to the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court in 1980.

Judge Valentine has served 35 years in the US Army Reserve including service in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Bosnia. He is a nationally-recognized expert on court and Judicial Security and a frequent lecturer to judges, sheriffs, and city managers. Judge Valentine is married with two children and one grandchild.
