Graduation Application
Graduation participants are required to complete an application to graduate and receive a diploma. A $100 Graduation Application Fee will be added to your student account during the spring semester of your 3L year.
Dress Code
With the graduation gown, we also require business dress for all graduates. Dark-colored pants, skirts, and dresses are appropriate. We ask that men wear collared shirts. Dress with the warm temperatures in mind, as you will be seated in the direct sunlight on the field in dark-colored gowns. Consideration should be made when selecting footwear for Commencement day. The Commencement activities take place at various locations around campus, and some walking will be required. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended. Military uniforms are acceptable as an alternative to the Commencement regalia.
Regalia Rental and Delivery
You may rent regalia in person from the bookstore. The deadline to order will be announced during the spring semester, and the cost will be approximately $180. Regalia will most likely be delivered in mid-April to the Liberty University Bookstore or to the law school. You will be notified of pick-up dates and times.
Graduation Accessories
Graduation announcements, class rings, etc. can be ordered online at Oak Hall through graduation. Diploma frames may be purchased at the Liberty University bookstore on campus or ordered online. For further details, contact the Liberty University Bookstore at (434) 582-2316.
Class Composite Picture
When the Class of 2024 composite photo is available later this summer, the law school will send a copy to each graduate as a gift. When requested, ensure that you provide a permanent email address to lawcareer@liberty.edu so that we may contact you to arrange for shipping.
Honor Cords
Qualifying students will be contacted by Mrs. Cordle at cjcordle@liberty.edu when cords are available for pick up from her office.
Diplomas
Following the Hooding Ceremony and upon completion of all academic requirements and payment in full of your student account balance, your diploma will be mailed to you within four to six weeks. If your address changes during this period of time, contact Mrs. Cordle at cjcordle@liberty.edu.

Hooding Ceremony Rehearsal:
- Students will receive information about hooding and ceremony procedures by email from Student Services.
Law School Degree Presentation Ceremony:
- 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 at Liberty University School of Music Concert Hall
Main LU Commencement Ceremony:
- 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10 at Williams Stadium
