Liberty University School of Law is excited to announce the visit of Douglas Gresham for a special Speakers Forum on Wednesday, March 2. Mr. Gresham was the co-producer of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Prince Caspian. He was executive producer for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The Speakers Forum will begin at 2:15 PM in the law school’s Supreme Courtroom and is open to the public.
Mr. Gresham is the stepson to Christian author and theologian C.S. Lewis and was the author of Lenten Lands: My Childhood with Joy Davidman and C.S. Lewis, and Jack’s Life: The Life Story of C.S. Lewis. He also co-authored Mere Theology: A Guide to the Thought of C.S. Lewis. He was heavily involved in the merchandising decisions for products related to the Narnia film franchise while representing Lewis’ estate during the production of the films.
Mr. Gresham recently visited Liberty University to speak during the weekly convocation service and commented, “While Jack [Lewis] wrote these stories down, I have come to believe that the real author of them was the Holy Spirit of God. You can’t have a series of books which make the kind of changes to the world the Narnia Chronicles have made … unless God is really close behind it.”
Gresham also spoke about the ministry he and his wife led in Ireland for many years. “I believe very firmly that one of the Christian’s astute responsibilities is to go through life, day to day, always trying to be or trying to provide answers to other people’s prayers,” he said. Their ministry counseled women who had abortions and people dealing with child abuse and other family counseling issues. Gresham’s speaking engagements, including his trip to Liberty, helps raise money for the charity fund that supports families dealing with tragedy.
