Biography
Born and raised in Germany, Schulz had the opportunity to build a rich and varied career in academic libraries, teaching, and ministry. With a career spanning over two and a half decades, he has served in various capacities within academic libraries, including positions at The Master’s Seminary and Colorado Christian University. His roles included assisting patrons and reshelving books; managing acquisitions, subscriptions, databases; and working in library management. Additionally, he has contributed to the development of information literacy programs and reference interviews, helping students and faculty alike navigate complex research challenges.
Beyond his work in libraries, Schulz has taught a range of courses. At The Master’s Seminary, he taught a Ph.D. preparatory course focused on theological German; while at Colorado Christian University, he taught both in-person and online courses, including Old and New Testament surveys, New Testament Introduction, and courses on tools for biblical study. His teaching experience also includes serving as a visiting instructor of Apologetics at the European Bible Training Center in Berlin, Germany, where he also contributed to the organization of the Center’s library.
In addition to his academic work, Schulz has a deep commitment to ministry. He has ministered in churches in Germany, Florida, and Colorado, and spent ten years serving as a youth pastor in two Korean churches in California.
Schulz met his wife Sherry in college, and together they have three children.
