The Federalist Society at Liberty University School of Law welcomes speaker Nikolas Nikas, President and General Counsel of the Bioethics Defense Fund. His presentation, titled “What Everyone Should Know about Human Cloning & Embryonic Stem Cell Research,” will start at 12:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, in the Mountain View Room at the law school. All members of the University community are invited and encouraged to hear this distinguished speaker.

Mr. Nikas has lectured on bioethics topics at law schools, legal and medical conferences, and civic organizations. In Carhart v. Stenberg, he helped formulate the oral argument presented to the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold Nebraska’s partial-birth abortion ban. For more than a decade, he has been deeply involved in the fight to protect human dignity at its most basic level. This is a great opportunity to hear from someone who is on the forefront of addressing the controversial topic of human cloning and embryonic stem cell research.
