Across collegiate athletics, Liberty models a fun, family-friendly atmosphere for fans
Fans who gather to support our 20 men’s and women’s NCAA Division I athletics programs and over 40 Club Sports teams witness something special in the game day experience — a unique combination of spirited competition and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Athletics has always had a special way of bringing people together, and at Liberty, we want to help you make the most of the time you spend with those you love, so we put extra effort into creating athletics events that provide wholesome fun for all ages.
If there’s one piece of feedback that our staff hears most from fans, it’s how refreshing it is to attend a game with the whole family without worrying about some of the negative influences that they encounter at other places. At Liberty, our venues are alcohol- and smoke-free and feature widespread giveaways with multiple activities for children.
Parents can join their kids for Flames Fan Fest at the Liberty University Indoor Practice Facility before football games, where they can play backyard games, jump on inflatables, and meet the student-athletes and cheerleaders. Children always have an exciting time at our baseball games, where they can climb on the playground, participate in fun activities between innings, and catch our postgame fireworks shows. Children can even come face-to-face with Darth Vader or any of their favorite Star Wars characters on Star Wars night, scheduled for May 10.
Many of our teams offer meet-and-greets and autograph sessions with players — and, of course, there are always photo ops with our energetic mascot, Sparky.
More privileges are available to children who join the Flames Kids Club, from free admission to ticket discounts for other family members and friends, as well as members-only Chick-fil-A celebrations (join at LibertyFlames.com/FKC).

At Liberty, we are grateful to have an incredible fan base of students, alumni, and friends who support our teams with a mix of faithful fervor and encouraging sportsmanship. That all leads to a welcoming environment for not only the home fans but also for our visiting teams and their fans.
The Christian character that our student-athletes display on the fields and courts is an inspiration to all of us. Games begin and end in group prayer, always with an invitation for the visiting team to join us.
Our event staff showcase exceptional customer service and hospitality. Our students show respect, not to mention that they are the most enthusiastic student body I have ever seen.
The wholesome and fun atmosphere fostered here is what keeps families returning for multiple sporting events throughout the year.
